Email / Phishing Messages

Please be aware and informed. Fraudulent emails appearing to be from reputable companies and businesses or governments agencies are still on the rise.  The Internet scam known as “phishing” is an attempt to obtain your personal financial information. We want to ensure our customers that Weichert Financial Services does not send email to anyone who is not a Weichert Financial Services customer, and will never solicit personal information via email, fax or mail. If you receive an email that appears to be from Weichert Financial Services, but unsure, please call Weichert Financial Services to verify. Any fraudulent, unsolicited emails should be reported to Weichert Financial Services and deleted from your email system. Report Suspicious Activity

Please do not email personal financial information. Email is not a secure method of online communication. It is Weichert Financial Services’ policy to never ask for personal information via email. If you receive an email that looks like it's from Weichert Financial Services requesting personal financial information, it may be fraudulent - a "phishing" scam. Please report suspicious activity to Weichert Financial Services immediately. Please call us at 800-829-2274 or

If you suspect you have been a victim of fraudulent activity or identity theft, we recommend that you call bureaus listed below to place a fraud alert with the three (3) credit bureaus (Transunion, Equifax, Experian).  This will require all creditors to contact you directly before granting any new credit in your name. The bureau you contact will share this information with the two other bureaus. The fraud divisions can be reached at:

File a report with your local police department.  Credit reporting agencies will possibly ask for a copy of the police report to submit as proof of the crime.

Finally, report the fraudulent use of your Social Security Number to the Social Security Administration by calling 1.800.269.0271.
